DESCRIPTION
(This dough can also be used to make pizza, bread for sandwiches or rolls, etc.)
Ingredients
1 cup milk (warm)
Flour
1 tbsp yeast
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp butter
1 tsp Salt
1 egg yolk and 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
Directions
Set oven to 400˚F
Put the milk in the microwave for about 45 seconds until warm.
Pour milk into bowl.
Add the sugar, butter and salt.
Add the yeast and wait for it to bubble around the sides in the bowl.
Add the flour spoon by spoon until the consistency is that of dough.
Mix the dough until well combined (should not be sticky).
Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
Then take the dough and cut evenly into 20 pieces.
Let the dough pieces rest for abpout 10-15 minutes.
Roll into balls and flatten.
Add desired amount of filling to the center.
Pinch the dough to close it. It should look like 3 lines meeting in the middle.
(This will create a triangle.)
Flip over so that the folds are touching the baking tray.
Brush egg wash on each esfiha.
Bake in oven for about 12 minutes or until golden brown.
