DESCRIPTION
Mastering a classic Spanish dish just got easier. The wonderful Omar Allibhoy is back with his favourite recipe for Tortilla de Patatas – or Spanish omelette to you and me!
There may be just three ingredients in this dish but each one is used to create an omelette that has bags of flavour.
Caramelised onion provides a delicious natural sweetness while the softened potato gives texture and depth. Mix through eggs and cook until golden and firm to the touch. The perfect omelette will be slightly soft and gooey in the centre. Makes you want one now doesn’t it?!

As someone who has lived in Spain for 10 years, she is very cooked. But in Spain some cook it more and others less.
1/2 litre oil for one omellete..you might have 3-4 hearts 🤐

Hola Omar! Você é espanhol? Fiz essa tortilla com os restos de batata. Refoguei a cebola com cominhos, louro e juntei cenoura ralada, Chilli peppers, e no final juntei as batatas já cozidas e também oregãos! Ficou fantástico! Obrigada;)

I do not know anything about spanish omelette, but this is an omelette that I often make (actually I made up the recipe myself). sometimes I like to use cabbage.

I don't get this recipe. I tried to cook this on high heat and it burned the onions and potatoes. It works fine on low heat and for a slightly longer time.

Insane amount of oil. Why reuse already used oil? It gets burned eventually and the food doesn't taste well anymore cooked on old oil.
